I'm trying something new with this blog, taking inspiration from "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?", one of the first children's computer games released in the floppy disk era, a long time ago in 1985.

Accordingly, I won't publish an itinerary in advance, nor any maps, just photos, and some occasional text. You'll have to guess where we've been, and, depending on cell service and internet access, I'll eventually let you know where we visited.

Feel free to record your guess in the comments section.

Day 3

Looking back on Days 1 & 2 we started this trip in the rain & fog crossing the Cape Cod Canal on the  Sagamore Bridge, and driving through Boston and over the Zakim Bridge.

The rain let up considerably as we made it New Hampshire and then Vermont, ultimately stopping at our friends Bill & Rosemary who have rented a home for a month on Fern Lake.  Fern Lake is just south of Lake Dunmore, and just a few miles outside of Brandon.

We had a wonderful dinner on Monday night with Bill & Rosemary, as well as fellow Middlebury alums Janet & Churchill Franklin.

On Tuesday morning the rain returned, but by the afternoon Bill and I ventured onto the Middlebury College golf course for a soggy nine holes.  As I mentioned earlier we had fun.  It was my first round of golf since October 2019!  Hard to believe I was on my high school golf team!

On Wednesday morning, Joni and I were back on the road by 6:30 AM, our destination many miles away. Here are a few photos from that day.
